Sloane believes that insight, introspection and being open to a new perspective is key in personal growth and transformation. Sloane takes a holistic, client-centered, integrative approach to provide a safe space for clients to explore their personal experiences and gain insight.

Sloane completed a BsC. at Carleton University in Psychology, with a concentration in health psychology. She has direct clinical experience in providing individual therapy to adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. She has experience with clients with GAD, BPD, OCD and ADHD. Sloane completed her major research paper focusing on mindfulness approaches with children and anxiety, and typically implements mindfulness techniques with clients.

Typically leaning towards humanistic, holistic, process-oriented and psychodynamic techniques and approaches, Sloane aids her clients towards their goals. She uses techniques and ideas from Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Sloane completed her MA at Saint Paul University, Ottawa, Ontario and joined the Resiliency Clinic in January 2021.
