Taem Kadimi is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She values a client-centred approach to counselling in which confidentiality, acceptance, and trust are held to high standards.
Taem has experience with diverse clinical concerns which include anxiety, depression, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, trauma, and chronic illness. She utilizes a person-centred approach with evidence-based therapeutic interventions including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness-Based techniques. Taem believes that therapy can be a safe space where the client feels heard in a non-judgemental environment and can then make behavioural change, using self-compassion and self-acceptance.
She completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carleton University. She is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Arabic with an Iraqi dialect.
Counselling services are available in-person, over the phone, or via virtual counselling. Burnout, work related stress treatment available.
