Psychothérapeute agréé (qualification)
Emma is Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is a candidate for her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Neuroscience and Mental Health with a minor in Psychology from Carleton University. Emma has experience supporting individuals in a variety of personal challenges such as chronic illness, grief, anxiety, stress-management and more. With a competitive background in sports and experience coaching high-performance athletes, she brings a unique perspective on motivation, resilience, and mental well-being.
Emma has a particular focus on supporting individuals living with chronic illness, including Type 1 diabetes.
Emma offers an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to therapy, with an emphasis on creating a warm, safe, and welcoming space where clients can explore personal growth and build resilience. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches, individualizing her work to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. She supports her clients in understanding their thoughts, emotions and behaviours while building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship to help create change.
She is offering virtual and in-person services for adults 18+. Emma offers free initial 15 minute phone consultations, as a first step before booking.
