Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Amanda Mancuso is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO, providing counselling services that support individuals on their path to healing, inner growth and resilience. She has over six years of experience working with individuals (16+) through difficult life events and various mental health challenges. Amanda ensures that overcoming your obstacles does not feel like an isolating process by creating a strong therapeutic relationship.
Amanda works from a person-centered approach, where she is committed to making the process as comfortable, safe, and supportive as possible. Her approach is warm, empathetic, and judgment-free, as she believes that you deserve to find your voice and be truly heard and seen every step of the way. Amanda is collaborative in her approach, and individualizes treatment to suit your needs, all while working at your pace. Being from an Italian background herself, Amanda understands how cultural and familial differences can shape and influence your experiences. She works from an inclusive and culturally sensitive lens.
Amanda obtained her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She previously obtained her combined Bachelor degree of Science in Psychology and Sociology, and completed a minor in Psychology at the University of Montreal. Amanda is originally from Montreal and is fluently bilingual, offering therapy services both in French and in English.
As a new member of the Ottawa community, Amanda will continue to be a fierce mental health advocate at the Resiliency Clinic. She hopes to help break down barriers, combat stigma and remind individuals that they are more than their diagnosis or struggles. This is a part of you, not all of you.
Amanda is accepting referrals for both virtual and in person therapy, and offers flexible hours throughout the day and evening.
