Shakiba fosters authentic therapeutic relationships built on a foundation of trust. She offers a safe and supportive place for clients to explore the challenges in their lives, and gain insight about how to make change.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Shakiba meets her clients with warmth and empathy, while gently challenging them to empower themselves and take steps towards change. She helps clients with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, trauma/(C-)PTSD, interpersonal relationship challenges, and coping skills. She has a special focus on working with neurodivergence and using a sensory lens. Prior to her work at the Resiliency Clinic, she provided therapy in community counselling clinic programs, using a culturally sensitive approach.
Shakiba enjoys helping clients recognize, embrace, and lean into their strengths and values to build on their innate resilience. She has an integrative approach and may draw on parts of different therapies, such as psychodynamic, narrative, emotion-focused, somatic, mindfulness, self-compassion and cognitive-behavioural.
Shakiba offers services to older adolescents and adults, in-person, virtual, and over the phone. She is happy to offer free 15 minute phone consultations to clients who are interested in working together.
