Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Elise is a registered social worker practicing psychotherapy, offering a holistic and relational approach. Elise has 6 years of experience working in social services. She holds a Master’s of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Elise welcomes you to co-create a grounded, compassionate space where your whole self is honoured. She supports clients navigating experiences related to pregnancy/perinatal mental health, queer/2SLGBTQIA+ identity, major life transitions, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, disability, chronic illness, relationship challenges, identity shifts, burnout, long‑term stress, and the emotional impact of systemic pressures. She is especially attuned to people who feel disconnected from themselves or their environments, and those seeking a more embodied, holistic approach to therapy.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative with each individual, and specifically draws on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy (MBCBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and internal family systems (IFS). She is also currently completing a certification in perinatal mental health (CC-PMH), which supports clients who are navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, loss, abortion, and adaptation to parenthood.
Elise’s work is informed by social work theory, values and approaches, shaping her commitment to anti-oppressive, trauma‑informed, and critically reflective practice. Her practice approach is rooted in the belief that healing is relational, embodied, and deeply connected to the environments in which we live.
Counselling is offered to adult individuals, in person and virtually. LGTBQ+ friendly
Starting therapy is a big step. Elise offers a free 15-minute consultation for a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if it’s the right fit.
