Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Elena (she/her/elle) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Elena completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, as well as an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Elena works with adults (18+) navigating anxiety-related concerns, depression, grief, burnout, school/work stress, life transitions, insomnia, interpersonal conflicts, and trauma. She also has experience supporting survivors and those affected by sexual violence.
Elena recognizes that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming and is committed to creating a warm, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.
Elena has completed Breakthrough T1D Canada’s Mental Health + Diabetes training, expanding her knowledge of the emotional aspects of living with diabetes and strengthening her ability to support clients experiencing diabetes distress, burnout, and other challenges associated with chronic disease management.
Elena draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). She also incorporates trauma-informed and mindfulness-based practices, tailoring each session to her clients’ unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Elena works in both English and French (bilingual provider), virtually or in person. She offers a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether the fit feels right before booking a full session.
