Sydrie Alexandra Turenne is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering services in both English and French. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychotherapy from the University of Ottawa.
Sydrie uses an integrative, evidence-based approach, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is ERP-certified and has completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and the Third-Party Neutral (TPN) training.
Her clinical interests include anxiety-related concerns, such as OCD, phobias, social anxiety and generalized anxiety. Sydrie also treats depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, emotional regulation difficulties, body image, and self-esteem. Her work experience within the federal public service also enables her to better understand and support clients navigating complex work environments.
Sydrie prioritizes creating a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. She believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship that allows clients to explore their experiences at their own pace while developing greater self-awareness and practical tools to support meaningful change. She works with adolescents and adults (16+).
