Laura’s therapeutic approach is centered around compassion and warmth. She believes that a safe therapeutic environment enables people to find their own voices, and she is passionate about creating this space for clients.
Laura specializes in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder and trauma. She welcomes clients facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, and existential questions.
Practicing from an integrative framework, Laura draws primarily from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT), Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP). She is also able to offer a Christian faith-based approach, if this is something that is important to you.
Laura holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Trauma and Crisis Counselling at Regent University. She has completed additional training in topics including treating trauma, crisis management, and working with survivors of human trafficking.
