In her practice, Mia provides counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals 18 and over experiencing a variety of personal difficulties including depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and self-esteem issues. Mia also has experience working with individuals coping with symptoms of ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.

She has experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD and trauma symptoms and provides a safe and compassionate space for clients to begin a journey towards post-traumatic growth by getting back in touch with their resilience.

Mia’s treatment approach is based on developing Self-Compassion to facilitate clients in re-discovering their resiliency. She offers a person-centred, integrative approach based on the unique needs of each client, drawing on influence from Humanistic/Experiential, Psychodynamic and Positive Psychology. Mia also uses tools from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, while utilizing a Mindful Self-Compassion framework.
