Resiliency Clinic Shakiba Ahmadi Ottawa Psychologist

Registered Psychotherapist

Shakiba is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). In her sessions, Shakiba uses a warm and empathetic approach, offering a space to slow down, feel seen and supported, and connect with themselves in a way that deepens an inner sense of understanding, compassion, and empowerment. She is naturally drawn to helping clients recognize and build on their inner strengths, find meaningful connection and beauty within themselves and the world around them, and nurture their creativity as they work through their challenges.

Shakiba works with adolescents (16+) and adults navigating issues with anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress and burnout, perfectionism, grief, identity, self-worth, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma, including childhood trauma. She also has a passion for holding space for and supporting clients with perinatal mental health, as they process and navigate a time of significant change.

Her practice is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from person-centred therapy, mindful self-compassion, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. She works with responsiveness and collaboration to identify and support each client’s unique needs in therapy.

Shakiba offers services in-person, virtually or over the phone, and she is happy to offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to connect and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
