Psychothérapeute agréé (qualification) / stagiaire

Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and Mental Health.

Sarah uses an integrative, client-centred approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Humanistic Therapies and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while incorporating strategies from other evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. She strives to create a warm, comfortable, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected, and able to be themselves. Viewing therapy as a collaborative process, she works alongside clients to help them better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, develop coping strategies, and build greater resilience and self-understanding.

She works with adults aged 18 and older with concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, caregiving, and changes in family or relationships. Her previous experience includes supporting older adults living with dementia and their families, which has deepened her interest in supporting individuals and families navigating caregiving and other significant life changes.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and Sarah aims to make the process approachable and supportive. She believes meaningful change begins with feeling understood and having a safe space to explore your experiences. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, build on their strengths, and move toward change that they would like to see.
