Jason (he/they) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Jason holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.

Jason takes a non-judgemental and non-knowing stance to a client’s life. The client is viewed on equal grounding as the therapist and is treated at the forefront with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Jason works primarily with those aged 18 and over, with life transitions, interpersonal issues (e.g. boundary violations, issues in communication, relational issues, etc.), perfectionism, sexuality, suicidality, self-harm, as well as anxiety and depression. Jason utilizes an interpersonal therapy focused lens while utilizing skill building techniques from both cognitive-behavioural therapy, and dialectical behavioural therapy. Other forms of therapies that may be used are psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and solution-focused therapy. Jason is flexible with his approach and curates it to the needs of the client. Jason uses a collaborative, client-centred, biopsychosocial evidence-based framework to therapy.

Jason practices under the supervision of Michelle Sorensen. Jason provides both in-person and virtual therapy (via online platform or telephone). If you are interested in working with Jason towards your goals, please do not hesitate to reach out and arrange a meeting!
