Intern / Therapist
Leana is an intern at the Resiliency Clinic and has experience volunteering in the mental health field, working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, loneliness, interpersonal issues, and suicidal ideation. She works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) lens while also integrating strength-based and mindfulness interventions.
She strives to provide her clients with a safe and supportive space and is dedicated to working collaboratively with her clients and supporting them in their journey of gaining self-compassion as well as insight into themselves and their experiences.
Leana is completing her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Carleton University and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College. She is working towards becoming a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
