Leana works with individuals 18 years and older experiencing anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and suicidal ideation and actively works towards making her approach anti-racist and LGTBQ+ friendly. She works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) lens while also integrating strength-based and mindfulness interventions. 

She strives to provide her clients with a safe and supportive space and is dedicated to working collaboratively with her clients and supporting them in their journey of gaining self-compassion as well as insight into themselves and their experiences. Leana has a special interest in helping clients with relationship and couple concerns, using an emotion-focused therapy approach. She also has training and experience in employing somatic approaches to managing anxiety and distress and addressing their manifestation through physical symptoms.

Leana is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Carleton University, and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College.
