Sarah graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) as well as a Certified Canadian Counsellor. Sarah is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Sarah uses a person-centred and solution-focused approach in therapy. She employs Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Holistic and Spiritual Counselling, Religious Counselling, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness-based Interventions and techniques among other approaches. She strives to offer her clients an open, safe, comfortable, and empathetic space in order to work together towards achieving positive outcomes and reach desired goals.

Sarah has a rich background in Mental health and Community Services.

She has experience working with those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, interpersonal issues, self esteem, self confidence, settlement issues, identity crisis, and culture shock among other issues. Sarah is experienced with working with clients in crisis, suicidal ideation and other mental health disorders. She has experience working with first and second generation Canadians, newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and international students and workers.

Sarah is a compassionate therapist, dedicated to understanding her clients and supporting them towards achieving their desired goals. Her approach in therapy is very unique and implements transparency in the therapeutic relationship through the use of a Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) approach to collect feedback from clients. This engages clients in their course of treatment to ensure that they are benefiting, achieving goals, and making the most out of the therapy sessions.
